About the position

The Director of Operations at Pacific Mind Health is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving the strategic growth and operational excellence of the organization. This position involves overseeing the expansion of mental healthcare services across California and beyond, ensuring high-quality patient care, and fostering a culture of employee empowerment and innovation. The Director will collaborate with executive leadership to align operational strategies with the organization's mission and long-term vision, while also managing financial operations and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Chart and execute strategic plans to drive practice growth and establish multiple new locations, both regionally and nationally.
  • Oversee and orchestrate the entire expansion process, from market analysis and location acquisition to staffing and service line development.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to create a robust business plan, projecting sustainable growth and financial success.
  • Ensure seamless operations across all practice locations, prioritizing high-quality, patient-centric care and exceptional customer experiences.
  • Implement performance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency, patient outcomes, and staff satisfaction.
  • Oversee all financial operations, from budgeting and financial projections to payroll cycle management and bookkeeping.
  • Attract, develop, and retain top talent, cultivating high-performing teams across multiple locations and departments.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and standards to maintain high-quality care and adherence to state, federal, and accreditation organization requirements.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, community organizations, and regulatory bodies.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities to leverage technology for improved patient care and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of executive leadership experience, with a successful track record of driving multi-site healthcare operations.
  • Proven expertise in leading and executing successful expansion efforts, including the establishment of new locations and service line development.
  • Demonstrated accomplishments in financial management, such as achieving significant revenue growth and effectively managing budgets of a substantial scale.
  • Extensive experience in mental healthcare operations, with a background in managing mental health clinics or medical programs.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire trust and authenticity in interactions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification as a Medical Practice Executive (CMPE), Certified Physician Practice Manager (CPPM), or similar certification desired.
  • Proficiency in medical office billing, EMR systems, and productivity tools (e.g., Google Suite/Microsoft Office).
  • Experience in driving innovation in healthcare settings and navigating change effectively.
