The Director of Marketing and Communications is the head of the Communications Team within the Advancement Department at IM. This position is primarily responsible for creating communications and marketing strategy for the organization, managing all internal and external communications, and marketing opportunities. The Director is responsible for communications to a wide range of stakeholders, including but not limited to: employees, donors, traditional and social media, community leaders, public officials, and the general public. This position reports to the Chief Advancement Officer and works closely with all IM departments as well as with the CEO. This position requires self-motivation and ability to work independently, while coordinating multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Creativity, strategic thinking, a proactive approach to internal and external communications, excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and a high degree of accountability is required.
