About The Position

Omni Las Colinas Hotel, a AAA Four Diamond property located in Irving, Texas, is seeking an experienced Director of Loss Prevention. This role is responsible for the daily operations of the Loss Prevention Department, ensuring the protection of hotel guests, associates, and property. The hotel recently underwent a $13-million-dollar renovation, enhancing its luxury offerings with 401 guest rooms, 96 suites, over 50,000 square feet of event space, and waterfront dining. Requirements

Minimum of four years of Loss Prevention/Security Management experience in a hotel or related industry.
Proven leadership skills and ability to delegate, effectively train, develop, and motivate staff.
Must be First Aid and CPR certified and/or willing to receive such training.
Must be conversant with OSHA guidelines and workplace safety standards.
Experience in preventing loss, incident reporting, and interacting with high-profile clientele.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to complete incident reports and participate in investigations.
Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers. This includes via email, telephone, and two-way radio.
Ability to handle stressful situations while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor.
Ability to prioritize, organize, and follow up on guest requests and needs in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent customer service, service recovery, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Must be able to reach various areas of the hotel at a rapid pace if necessary.
Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive matters.
Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
Must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to work indoors/outdoors in extreme temperatures, assisting with supervision of pool activity as assigned.

Responsibilities

Monitors and drives appropriate compliance levels of all Omni Hotels & Resorts’ Life Safety Programs, training, and SOP directives.
Plans, evaluates, organizes, recruits, trains, and directs the activities of the Loss Prevention Agents, Supervisor, and Manager.
Reviews all reports completed by Loss Prevention Agents to ensure accuracy and timely submission.
Reports all observed hotel property deficiencies and safety hazards.
Ensures thorough and complete investigation for all incidents incurred by guests and associates (i.e., losses, thefts, accidents).
Maintains surveillance procedures throughout the property.
Ensures that all phases of the key control program are maintained, and any discrepancies noted are investigated thoroughly and reported to the Director of Rooms.
Monitors all traffic in the lobby, restaurant, restrooms, parking area, bars, and back of the house area.
Ensures that all hotel service levels are maintained, and aids when necessary.
Acts as the hotel representative when resolving guest problems and concerns. Ensures that all details of guest situations are documented and communicated to appropriate department personnel.
Administers corrective action with associates when necessary.
Ensures follow-up communication and appropriate documentation with necessary departments to ensure hotel property deficiencies and safety hazards are resolved.
Ensures that all Security equipment (uniforms, push-to-talk radios, cameras) is kept in good working condition.
Sets priorities for the loss prevention team and provides feedback to others that enhances performance.
Conducts a monthly department meeting.
Periodically inspects the exterior of the building.
Maintains a continual line of communication with the Executive Committee.
Conducts Annual and New Hire OSHA Training.
Conducts a monthly Safety Committee meeting and follows up on any issues.
Coordinates associate locker inspections and bag checks.
Monitors First Aid Kits throughout the Hotel.
Completes Moments of Service Checklists monthly.
Distributes Daily Hotel Incident/Accident Log to EC Committee.
Conducts a semi-annual hotel fire drill.
Ensures monthly Fire extinguisher inspections.
Provides ongoing Security department training.
Maintains an understanding of all emergency procedures.
