About the position

In this role, you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of legal contracts with clients, partners, vendors, and third parties, including services agreements, NDAs, DPAs, and SaaS agreements. You will act as a site manager for the US legal team and provide legal advice on payments laws, working closely with the product and payments teams to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and payments licenses. Additionally, you will keep up to date with and analyze global privacy regulations to ensure that the company's products and data processing remain aligned with these regulations. You will also interact and collaborate with various departments within the company, such as sales, product, marketing, and finance, on diverse legal issues, and provide general corporate law advice as needed.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • A New York licensed attorney with 5 years experience as in-house counsel for a Hi-Tech/Fintech company or prominent law firm.
  • Proven legal experience in the field of payments and privacy.
  • Fluent English (written and oral).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Multi-tasker, self-motivated and persistent.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
