About the position
The Director of Health & Wellness (Director of Nursing) is responsible for overseeing the implementation and evaluation of care plans to ensure comprehensive and person-centered care within an assisted living community. This role involves monitoring residents' health conditions, coordinating with healthcare providers, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while fostering a positive work environment through training and mentorship of the healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation and evaluation of care plans for residents.
- Monitor residents' health conditions and medication administration.
- Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare providers as needed.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards for regulatory compliance.
- Provide ongoing training, coaching, and mentorship to the healthcare team.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing healthcare services.
- Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes to improve care quality.
- Monitor resident satisfaction and make necessary improvements to the resident experience program.
Requirements
- LPN or LVN licensure required in the state of practice in Georgia.
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an RN or LPN in assisted living, skilled nursing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years leadership experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in assisted living or skilled nursing.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in assisted living or skilled nursing environments.
