About The Position

The Director of Enterprise Data & AI Strategy is responsible for leading the full spectrum of data strategy, architecture, analytics, and AI enablement across the organization. This role unifies business intelligence infrastructure with advanced analytics and AI capabilities to drive data-driven decision-making and innovation. The Director will be responsible for building and executing a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with business objectives and supports enterprise-wide digital transformation. This position reports to the Chief Information Officer and is part of the Information and Technology group located in California and will be fully remote.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration.
  • 12–14+ years of experience in data architecture, analytics, or BI, with 4+ years in senior leadership roles.
  • Proven experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Oracle, Informatica, and PowerBI.
  • Strong project/program management, vendor negotiation, and budget oversight skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex enterprise initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • Expertise in AI/ML, predictive modeling, and MLOps is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute an enterprise-wide data and AI strategy aligned to business priorities, IT vision, and digital transformation goals
  • Provide strategic leadership across data, analytics, and AI, including chairing cross‑functional AI Steering Committees to drive value realization and adoption.
  • Partner closely with senior business leaders to prioritize initiatives, manage risk, and ensure disciplined financial and investment oversight
  • Oversee enterprise data architecture and governance, ensuring scalable platforms, high data quality, clear ownership, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead and modernize BI infrastructure and operations, including cloud data platforms, ETL, dashboards, integrations, and vendor-managed services.
  • Drive innovation by translating complex business needs into advanced analytics, predictive modeling, machine learning, and MLOps solutions.
  • Foster a data‑driven culture through data literacy, inclusive leadership, and continuous coaching and development of high‑performing teams
