We are now looking for a visionary Director of Engineering to lead our dynamic engineering team and shape the future of our technologies. As the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for driving the development and execution of our product and technology roadmap for induction heating systems. This key leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of engineering principles, power electronics, and product design, combined with the ability to inspire and lead high-performing teams. You will work closely with executives, cross-functional teams, and customers to ensure that our engineering solutions are at the forefront of innovation and meet the highest standards of performance and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a team of highly skilled engineers, including electrical, mechanical, and software engineers, to deliver innovative induction heating solutions.
  • Provide clear direction, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Champion a performance-driven and results-oriented environment, setting and meeting ambitious goals in line with the company's objectives.
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of induction heating systems, from ideation to prototyping, testing, and production release.
  • Drive the design and development of highly efficient, scalable, and reliable induction heating technologies that align with market demands and customer needs.
  • Leverage your expertise in power electronics, electromagnetic theory, and control systems to optimize product performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Foster continuous innovation by identifying emerging technologies and integrating them into the product development pipeline.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support teams to ensure products align with market needs, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with Operations and Manufacturing teams to ensure that engineering designs are optimized for manufacturability, cost control, and timely delivery.
  • Partner with the Operations team to implement robust testing procedures, quality controls, and compliance with industry standards and certifications.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the company's long-term engineering strategy, aligning it with business goals and market trends.
  • Develop and manage engineering budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to meet project timelines and cost targets.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices, new tools, and methodologies that enhance engineering productivity, design accuracy, and overall system reliability.
  • Lead efforts to streamline engineering processes, from concept development through manufacturing, ensuring high-quality output and operational efficiency.
  • Lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting for engineering challenges, driving the resolution of technical issues with a focus on long-term improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or senior management role within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Extensive experience in induction heating, power electronics, or related electromagnetic technologies is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record of successful product development and engineering leadership, ideally in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Deep understanding of induction heating principles, power electronics, and control systems.
  • Proficiency in the use of CAD software, simulation tools, and design for manufacturability.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements in the industrial sector.
  • Experience in leading cross-disciplinary engineering teams, with expertise in managing hardware, software, and firmware integration.
