About the position

The Director of HIV Community Engagement is a key leadership role within the US Virology Sales Team, focused on fostering community relationships and driving the company's strategic vision in HIV care. This position is responsible for building connections with Community Base Organizations (CBO), AIDS Service Organizations (ASO), and other stakeholders, while also supporting the learning and development of the Virology field team. The role requires a results-oriented leader who can adapt to changing environments and effectively communicate insights to inform business strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the US Virology Community Liaison (CL) and Regional Training Team to execute the HIV Community Strategy and achieve business goals.
  • Communicate community insights and business performance trends to Sales and Brand Leadership to inform strategy adjustments.
  • Collaborate with Virology Sales Directors of Commercial Operations to align community plans and achieve business objectives.
  • Act as a thought partner with marketing, field sales, learning and development, and cross-functional teams to drive community engagement strategy.
  • Represent the company at professional events, fostering community relationships and identifying needs within local HIV ecosystems.
  • Define roles, responsibilities, and measurable KPIs for the CL team, regularly measuring and providing feedback on performance.
  • Collect actionable insights for informed decision-making in a dynamic market landscape.
  • Recruit, hire, and retain top talent to build a high-performing, diverse, and community-focused team.
  • Collaborate with internal legal and compliance teams to ensure alignment of community initiatives with organizational goals and adherence to legal requirements.
  • Lead Virology Region Trainers to align learning plans with business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA or BS).
  • Minimum of 10 years combined experience in Sales and/or Marketing, including 5 years leading teams.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.
