Northwestern Health Sciences University is seeking a dynamic Director of Clinical Education for our College of Chiropractic to lead and advance one of the most respected Clinical-Based Internship (CBI) programs in the country. Responsibilities

  • Facilitate instruction, learning, and assessment of student clinical skills in collaboration with faculty, staff, and Community-Based Internship (CBI) associate faculty.
  • Serve as Chair of Clinical Education courses to ensure alignment with course outcomes, syllabus accuracy, learning management system updates, and student satisfaction metrics.
  • Assume a leadership role on the Chiropractic Assessment Committee, Chiropractic Curriculum Management Committee, and Department Chair Working Group.
  • Assist in the development, administration, and communication of student/doctor evaluations for each clinical education site.
  • Assist in the resolution of issues involving CBI sites, supervisors, patients, and interns, serving as a liaison to address concerns.
  • Maintain strong relationships with CBI associate faculty and stakeholders to ensure alignment with program goals and clinical education standards.
  • Manage the remediation process in collaboration with the College of Chiropractic and Clinical Internship sites to ensure competency attainment before graduation.
  • Stay current on Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE) accreditation requirements relevant to clinical assessments and academic standards.
  • Co-author relevant sections of accreditation reports and communications.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Chiropractic degree, required
  • Active MN chiropractic license, required
  • Clinical experience in chiropractic or related area with student mentorship experience
  • Teaching, curriculum development, or academic administration experience
  • Knowledge of accreditation processes and reporting including preparing self-studies, site visits, or working under CCE, CAPTE, or similar accrediting bodies
  • Program management and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
