About the position

The Director of AV Media at The Moore Miami is responsible for managing audio-visual equipment and systems within a dynamic hospitality environment. This role requires a strong technical background in AV technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to provide technical support for various events and meetings. The position plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless audio and video experiences for members and guests.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the setup, configuration, and operation of AV equipment such as projectors, displays, audio systems, and video conferencing tools.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to AV systems, including connectivity problems, audio/video quality issues, and equipment malfunctions.
  • Coordinate and support AV requirements for meetings, presentations, and events, ensuring seamless audio and video playback.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design and implement AV solutions tailored to specific needs and requirements.
  • Provide technical support to end-users, addressing IT and AV-related inquiries, concerns, and incidents in a timely manner.
  • Assist users with software applications, hardware devices, and connectivity issues, both remotely and onsite as necessary.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, system upgrades, and software patches to ensure system stability.
  • Document IT and AV configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for reference and knowledge sharing.
  • Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in AV to recommend improvements and enhancements.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of AV technologies, audio/video equipment, and multimedia systems.
  • Familiarity with AV protocols and standards such as HDMI, VGA, SDI, and Dante.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues across multiple platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
