As a Director, Business Development, you will be responsible for growing GMV sales for Walmart's e-commerce marketplaces. You will generate growth by driving marketplace adoption among the top sellers as well as maximizing seller sales in those markets. Seller acquisition is a priority, and you will be responsible for generating leads, recruiting, and onboarding to Walmart marketplaces. You will increase adoption of Walmart services to improve seller performance and experience. You will work closely with external partners to create lead flows as well as manage your team's pipeline of prospective Sellers. You will demonstrate strong leadership, investing in coaching, training, and developing your team to succeed. You will attract and retain A-player talent and create a culture of collaboration, accountability, and speed to deliver results. To drive Seller performance, you will foster collaboration with international markets and cross-functional teams. Your role will be key in executing Walmart's cross border trade e-commerce strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a Sales Pipeline - Prospect and manage a pipeline of high-value, strategic accounts across key categories.
  • Develop creative solutions to identify new prospects and build a strong pipeline.
  • Develop relationships with key influencers and decision-makers within senior management of prospective accounts.
  • Understand Sellers' goals, decision-making processes, and success metrics.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new strategic sellers and develop initial targets and actions plans.
  • Champion and evangelize our platform, and its evolving capabilities, to prospective sellers.
  • Drive awareness and adoption of new seller services.
  • Listen to seller feedback, challenges, and needs.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to continuously improve the platform and experience.
  • Explore and innovate! Develop and test new partnerships or services that create shared value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field and 5 years' experience in Business Management, Supply Chain, Marketing, Omni-Channel, Merchandising, or a related area OR 7 years' experience in Supply Chain, Transportation, Business Management, Marketing, Omni-Channel Merchandising, or a related area.
  • 5+ years' experience in Business Development, Planning, Business Management, or a related area.
  • 2 years of experience leading and completing cross-functional projects.
  • Strong organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail and results-oriented with sense of urgency.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA.
  • Speak fluid Mandarin.
  • Experience leading and completing cross-functional projects.
  • Experience in Seller Business Development (Hunter).
