About the position

The Director of Mainframe Batch Operations is responsible for coordinating and delegating responsibilities within assigned IT teams, overseeing daily functions, and managing ongoing projects. This role involves client onboarding, installation, maintenance, testing, and procedural documentation. The Director will also conduct training sessions, perform bi-yearly reviews, and set goals aligned with the Business Unit and Company objectives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and delegate responsibilities of assigned IT teams.
• Oversee day-to-day functions aligning with Global Leader responsibilities.
• Manage client onboarding, installation, maintenance, testing, and documentation.
• Conduct training sessions for team resources.
• Perform bi-yearly reviews and set quarterly and yearly goals.
• Enhance communication and collaboration with clients and teams.
• Administer and update project management documents weekly.
• Manage team's ticket queue and follow up on aging tickets.
• Provide risk assessment and management.
• Review assignments for accuracy and quality.
• Delegate responsibilities as applicable.
• Facilitate or coordinate large projects.
• Attend and facilitate client/team meetings as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments.
• Develop and adhere to departmental and company goals.
• Participate in internal and external audits.
• Optimize batch processing efficiencies and enhance mainframe systems reliability.

Requirements

• 10-15 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge in the area of discipline.
• Knowledge of batch management.
• Knowledge of Mainframe console monitoring.
• Knowledge of system IPL processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
