About The Position

This position is responsible for the administration and supervision of the district’s Social Studies and World Language programs. The Director will provide leadership and direction for curriculum development, instructional improvement, and program evaluation. This role involves collaborating with school administrators, teachers, and community stakeholders to ensure high-quality educational experiences for all students. The Director will also manage budgets, staff, and resources allocated to these subject areas, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Requirements

Master's degree.
Five (5) years of successful teaching experience in Social Studies or World Language.
Two (2) years of successful administrative or supervisory experience.
Valid Nevada teaching license with appropriate endorsement(s).
Valid Nevada administrative/supervisory license.
Knowledge of curriculum development and instructional best practices.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage budgets and personnel effectively.
Experience with data analysis and program evaluation.

Nice To Haves

Doctorate degree in Education or related field.
Experience in program development and implementation at the district level.
Bilingual proficiency (Spanish or other world language).
