About the position

The Director II Digital Operations at Elevance Health is responsible for overseeing a combined digital and operations unit, executing strategies to enhance operational digitization, improve efficiency, and deliver exceptional service to members and providers. This role involves leading strategic initiatives, managing resources, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering a strong team culture to achieve organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a leader across departmental lines to enhance operational digitization and efficiency.
  • Enable effective achievement of digital operations organizational objectives.
  • Participate with peers and leadership to deliver on strategic plans and objectives.
  • Lead strategic work streams for transformational priorities and manage special projects.
  • Plan, direct, and control resources within the Digital Operations organization.
  • Implement and manage digitization initiatives aligned with operational business processes.
  • Obtain necessary resources to accomplish unit objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Oversee strategic planning, budget development, and management for cost centers.
  • Manage an enterprise suite of applications and develop digitization forecasts.
  • Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity plans are implemented and updated.
  • Deliver operational guidance and system solutions for functional areas.
  • Plan and execute annual projects while maintaining P&L responsibility.
  • Motivate subordinates to achieve Digital Ops organization goals.
  • Develop a strong team through training and organizational development practices.
  • Implement company policies and procedures for digital and operations organizations.
  • Manage information system and programming activities of technical staff.
  • Monitor procedures and operational metrics using reporting and analytics tools.
  • Manage geographically diverse associates and vendor partners.
  • Build partnerships with market and digital leads, Benefits Administration, and other departments.
  • Adjust communications based on audience and translate technical issues for non-technical audiences.
  • Consult, facilitate, negotiate, and persuade effectively.
  • Interface with external contacts, including customers and agencies.
  • Negotiate resolutions of intra-organizational issues in the best interests of the business.
  • Hire, train, coach, counsel, and evaluate performance of direct reports.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience leading technology teams or cross-functional project teams.
  • 7 years' management experience.

Nice-to-haves
