About the position

The Director of Employee Experience is responsible for creating and implementing strategies to improve the overall employee experience within an organization, encompassing all stages of the employee lifecycle from recruitment to offboarding. This role focuses on enhancing employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention, fostering a positive work culture, and ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive employee experience strategy that aligns with the organization's values, culture, and objectives.
  • Drive initiatives to boost employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention through various programs and initiatives.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive company culture that values employee well-being and promotes a positive work environment.
  • Oversee and improve all aspects of the employee journey, including succession planning, gap analysis, training, development, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Gather employee feedback through surveys, exit interviews, and other mechanisms to identify areas for improvement and track the effectiveness of HR programs.
  • Work collaboratively with HR leaders and cross-functional teams to implement HR initiatives and improve employee experience.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and HR policies regarding employee experience.
  • Implement and oversee the performance management system to support employee growth and success.
  • Design and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and abilities.
  • Work with the Health & Wellness Coordinator to implement initiatives to support employee health, well-being, and work-life balance.
  • Lead change management efforts to ensure a smooth transition during organizational changes or restructuring.

Requirements

  • Master of Arts degree in Human Resources, Management, Organizational Behavior or other directly related field or a bachelor's degree in one of these fields and 2 or more years of directly related experience.
  • A Senior Professional in Human Resources certification (SPHR) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) is strongly preferred.
  • A SHRM-SCP - Society for Human Resource Development Senior Certified Professional or SHRM-CP (Certified Professional) is strongly preferred.
  • Two to four years' experience making professional presentations and training to include curriculum development (at least high school level) a must.
  • Strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in leading and managing change initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Familiarity with industry trends and best practices in employee experience and engagement.
  • Experience with HR technology systems and data analytics.
  • Understanding of the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
