About The Position

Be part of the LA28 Project Team and help to deliver the 2028 Olympic & Paralympic Games, the largest and most complex sporting event ever hosted in the United States. The Hospitality Director will lead strategy development and execution of the local hospitality program for LA28, delivering world‑class hospitality experiences for key stakeholders across Olympic and Paralympic venues. This role serves as a senior team leader with accountability for the LA28 local hospitality program. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong experience developing hospitality strategies aligned with global event standards; building and managing relationships with senior stakeholders; and leading large, cross‑functional projects across venues, functions, and partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree+ or equivalent experience in Business, Hospitality, Event Management, Sports Management, or Marketing
  • 5–10 years of experience in hospitality leadership in major global sports event management (ex. FIFA and/or Olympic Games), Hospitality guest program operations (ex. Hotel management, Ticketing, Transportation, Database, Uniform/Gifting, Accreditation/Access, Logistics, Design, Production and Security/Medical) or large-scale, multi-venue programs
  • Proficient in Technology – CRM, Ticket software/CTPs, EOS Database systems, Microsoft Office/Teams environments, project software, presentation decks
  • 5-10 years in Sales strategy, deployment/execution and budget management
  • Proven delivery of large‑scale hospitality and event programs, with experience across major global events, brands, or complex, multi‑stakeholder environments
  • Deep understanding of the Los Angeles / Southern California hospitality ecosystem, including hotels, F&B, transportation, event services, and strong local relationships
  • Strong stakeholder leadership and influence, with experience engaging senior executives across public and private sectors within structured governance models
  • Excellent program and project management capabilities, managing multiple workstreams under tight deadlines with clear communication, organization, and attention to detail
  • Collaborative, solutions‑oriented leader with exceptional relationship‑building skills and a positive, coachable approach
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%, especially during test events and Games-time planning phases.
  • Note that during LA28 Games Time period this role will be expected to be in Los Angeles 100%

Responsibilities

  • Develop an integrated local hospitality strategy and operational plan in alignment with LA28, IOC/IPC requirements, and Games-wide service standards
  • Collaborate with Global EPICS Hospitality, and Internal Stakeholders to ensure alignment, leverage best practices, and capture synergies across Games-time hospitality
  • Design and deliver local hospitality concepts and programs tailored to key audiences, including employees, partners, stakeholders, clients, and invited guests
  • Develop and oversee hospitality guest packages, ensuring seamless end-to-end experiences across accommodation, transportation, food & beverage, entertainment, security, gifting, and ticketing
  • Brief, evaluate, and work with preferred/selected hospitality agencies and vendors (if applicable), in close collaboration with our Global EPICS Team, Procurement, Finance, and Legal teams
  • Manage and grow relationships with hotels, venues, agencies, and service partners, negotiating contracts and service-level agreements in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Oversee execution of the Local Hospitality Program, including: Lead end‑to‑end execution of the Local Hospitality Program, including sales strategy, budgeting, guest communications, registration, and accreditation
  • Oversee all guest experience operations, transportation, accommodations, food & beverage, hotels, entertainment, gifting, premiums, and uniform delivery
  • Manage venues, lounges, and onsite production, including hospitality space design, security coordination, and overall program delivery
  • Direct ticketing and seating strategy, covering ordering, allocation, and distribution across hospitality programs
  • Manage hospitality staffing, including recruitment, scheduling, and leadership of 20–50 staff and hosts
  • Establish and maintain clear governance, guardrails, and processes for hospitality delivery, hotel selection, ticket distribution and stakeholder servicing across all venues
  • Manage event ticket allocations linked to hospitality programs, including day packages, seat assignments, and incentive access, working closely with LA28 Ticketing teams
  • Lead planning and execution of hospitality-related technology platforms (websites, apps, registration tools) in collaboration with Global EPICS
  • Own budget management, forecasting, reconciliation, and reporting for the hospitality program in partnership with LA28 Finance
  • Oversee contracting and compliance for all hospitality-related vendors and services
  • Track program milestones, identify risks, and resolve issues proactively in partnership with the LA28 PMO and cross-functional leadership
  • Develop communication strategy, in partnership with leadership and global EPICS.
