About the position

The Health and Wellness Director at the Edison Job Corps Center is responsible for leading health and wellness programs, inspiring healthy living, and creating a positive environment for students. This role involves daily management and oversight of health center activities, ensuring compliance with administrative requirements, and promoting overall health among students.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily management and oversight of all health and wellness center activities and staff.
• Manage and conduct coordinated health care for students, including medical, oral health, mental health, and substance abuse services.
• Assure chronic care management of all students with chronic illnesses.
• Provide and monitor basic health care services, emergency care services, and case management of students.
• Monitor and approve transfers, separations, and referrals.
• Work with management to develop, implement, and monitor schedules for facility repair and maintenance.
• Prepare and submit required reports within the required timeframe.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted registered nurse license in the state of employment.
• Three years of related experience with at least one year of supervisory experience.
• Experience working with youth in a paid or unpaid capacity is preferred.
• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
