About the position

The Director Field Medical Engagement (DFME) at Bayer is a pivotal role that provides technical and scientific support to the field medical team, ensuring effective engagement with Thought Leaders (TLs) and promoting the safe use of Bayer products. This position involves developing strategies for TL engagement, collaborating with various stakeholders, and overseeing the execution of medical initiatives and resources to enhance educational outreach in the therapeutic area landscape.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify educational gaps for the therapeutic area landscape and develop a strategic plan for TL engagement.
• Collaborate with Medical Directors and field medical managers to prioritize topics for resource development for HCP engagements.
• Provide scientific expertise and liaise with stakeholders for alignment on medical and business projects.
• Oversee the development of various medical resources including slide decks, training materials, and online HCP resources.
• Analyze utilization reports to identify trends and guide the development of resources to meet HCP needs.
• Manage innovative Field Medical activities and external stakeholder engagement initiatives.
• Interface with internal and field-based stakeholders to implement field medical initiatives and manage the budget for the territory.

Requirements

• Strong scientific background in the relevant therapeutic area.
• Experience in medical affairs or related fields is preferred.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams.
• Ability to analyze data and trends to inform strategic decisions.
