About the position

The position involves overseeing the Executive Resources Division at the FAA, which is responsible for managing executive recruitment, staffing, and performance management for FAA executives. The selectee will develop and implement innovative executive resources programs and collaborate with various offices to support strategic initiatives and operations within the agency.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Executive Resources division and its full range of executive resources programs.
  • Supervise a subordinate staff responsible for recruitment, staffing, and placement of executives.
  • Develop and administer innovative executive resources programs tailored to complex organizations.
  • Partner with the FAA's Administrator's Office on executive policy initiatives.
  • Liaise with the Department of Transportation on matters impacting the FAA Executive System.
  • Serve as a principal point of contact for human resources policies and initiatives.
  • Participate in decision-making and strategic planning for AHR business goals.
  • Provide management services and consultation to FAA employees and executives on executive resources strategies.

Requirements

  • At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-J, FG/GS-14/15 level.
  • Experience leading an executive recruitment/classification function.
  • Expertise in researching and analyzing data to build business cases for human capital programs.
  • Experience serving as a strategic partner with senior management on human capital matters.
  • Oversight and coordination with a Performance Review Board for pay and performance decisions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in formulating new HR concepts and principles.
  • Knowledge of advanced human resources principles and analytical methods.
