About the position

The Director of Domain Engineering will lead the engineering initiatives within a key business domain, guiding the technical strategy and fostering innovation. This role is essential for building, scaling, and sustaining high-performance engineering teams to deliver outstanding products and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Define the overall engineering vision and roadmap for your assigned domain, ensuring alignment with MGM Resorts International's strategic objectives.
• Foster a culture of excellence within the engineering team by promoting collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor top engineering talent, building a high-performing and diverse team.
• Lead the development and implementation of technical architecture and best practices, ensuring scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
• Manage cross-functional partnerships with product management, design, and other departments to ensure seamless product delivery.
• Champion innovation by identifying, evaluating, and adopting emerging technologies to enhance the domain's capabilities.
• Oversee the delivery of high-quality engineering projects within budget and timeline constraints.
• Track and analyze engineering performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize team effectiveness.
• Present technical strategies and solutions to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with Data Platforms, CRM systems, and Azure Databricks, driving data strategies, and big data solutions.
• Expertise in AWS, including managing cloud infrastructure and location-based services.
• Expertise in Data Architecture, ensuring efficient data storage, processing, and retrieval.
• Strong operational mindset focused on building a high-performance, scalable engineering culture.
• Deep understanding of SDLC methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps) and architecting scalable software systems.
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate, motivate teams, and drive strategic, results-oriented solutions.
• Passion for innovation and staying current with the latest technological advancements.
