About the position

The Director of Business Development at Quality Innovation, Inc. is responsible for overseeing the identification and evaluation of business opportunities, leading the business development team, and enhancing the company's competitiveness in pursuing proposals. This senior-level position involves coordinating research, developing solution strategies, and ensuring compliance in proposals, while also maintaining business development procedures within the company's management system. The role is designed for an individual to grow with the company and requires limited guidance from the President/CEO, with daily collaboration with the BD team.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the identification, collection, review, and response to business opportunities.
  • Lead the business development team in evaluating opportunities for proposal consideration.
  • Expand Qi2's partner network to increase available opportunities.
  • Coordinate research and gather information to improve the company's probability of winning (PWin) opportunities.
  • Engage with the Proposal Manager to ensure competitive and compliant proposals.
  • Create and maintain business development-related procedures and management policies.

Requirements

  • 5 years' experience in a federal contracting environment.
  • At least 3 years working directly in an organization managing multiple IDIQs and/or schedules.
  • Associate's degree.
  • Experience with Army or other DoD service programs related to Qi2's lines of business.
  • Proven business development success with an existing network that adds value to Qi2's capabilities.
  • Journeyman level ability with common business development tools such as GSA eBuy, SharePoint, SAM, FedConnect, FPDS.

Nice-to-haves

  • Veteran, Service Member Spouse, HUBZone resident, Veteran Spouse.
  • 5 years working in a commercial federal contract operation managing multiple IDIQs and Schedules.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5 years or more experience with Army soldier and family programs or closely related programs.
  • Proven business development success leading capture, solutioning, and proposal efforts.
  • Journeyman level ability with Army PEO-EIS/HRS portal.
