About the position
The Director of Business Analytics and Insights is a leadership role focused on uncovering insights and exploring business opportunities to drive revenue and reduce costs. This position is essential for guiding the Companion Animal and Equine Business Unit (CABU) leaders in making informed decisions through data-driven storytelling. The role involves leading a team of analysts to derive actionable insights and recommendations, collaborating cross-functionally to enhance business operations and customer experiences.
Responsibilities
- Converge multiple facts during analysis into a cohesive narrative for senior leadership.
- Define clear business questions and deliver associated analytics approaches.
- Influence stakeholders by effectively visualizing and presenting data.
- Proactively seek feedback from CABU and EQ leadership teams on analysis effectiveness.
- Coach junior and senior analysts and brand managers in data interpretation.
- Lead the analytic team in planning and executing commercial data modeling.
- Oversee complex analyses to quantify business opportunities and evaluate trends.
- Gather and normalize data from multiple sources for unique insights.
- Collaborate with other functions for data collection and centralization.
- Utilize Machine Learning and AI to enhance marketing and sales effectiveness.
- Develop and track key performance indicators across departments.
Requirements
- Proven experience in business analytics and insights generation.
- Strong leadership skills to guide and develop a team of analysts.
- Ability to communicate complex data insights to senior leadership.
- Experience with data visualization and presentation techniques.
- Analytical mindset with intellectual curiosity for big data and advanced analytics.
