The Director of Assessments is responsible for leading and executing backend revenue cycle performance assessments for prospective and existing healthcare clients. This role focuses on evaluating hospital acute and insurance accounts receivable performance using key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying gaps versus benchmarks, determining root causes, and delivering clear, executive-ready assessment reports outlining findings and recommended remediation actions. The Director plays a critical role in supporting the sales pipeline by demonstrating Ensemble’s value proposition through data-driven insights and polished report-outs to C-suite leaders, including CFOs and Vice Presidents of Revenue Cycle. The role requires deep knowledge of hospital revenue cycle operations, strong analytical and presentation skills, and the ability to work with complex or incomplete client data sets. This position must demonstrate strong strategic, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex information to executive-level, technical, and non-technical audiences. High proficiency in Excel and presentation tools is required. The Director may manage multiple assessments concurrently and must remain flexible across data-only and cycle-focused assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure team maintains and distributes Assessment project calendar and Assessment pipeline calendar.
  • Oversees the creation, maintenance, and updates of Assessment documents.
  • In early phases of Assessment, reviews receipt of requested documents, including assessing whether documents received met specifications.
  • Directs team to follow up on missing documents and ensures Ensemble team has what they need to complete the document and data reviews.
  • Maintains knowledge of Revenue Cycle best practices ensuring high productivity and proficiency standards are met.
  • Promotes a culture of collaboration between the Ensemble functional areas and client contacts and serves as a positive role model for Revenue Cycle.
  • Serve as a key participant in pre-sales assessments, supporting the sales process by demonstrating Ensemble’s value through data-driven insights.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level assessment presentations and report-outs to C-suite audiences, including CFOs and VPs of Business Office.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and internal stakeholders to align assessment timelines and presentation readiness.
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with clients throughout the assessment lifecycle.
  • Works with AVP, Assessments to communicate meeting requirements, daily rounding reviews and creation of findings and recommendations.
  • Runs end of day internal review sessions to capture highlights, including findings and potential compliance risk items.
  • Assists in preparing Assessment week-ending report to client team.
  • Oversee, and reconcile final deliverable compilation by collaborating with Subject Matter Experts on their findings/recommendations, KPI’s, examples and all data needed to support our report of financial lift.
  • Submit to Marketing for formatting in a timely manner, allowing time for review and print out of documents.
  • Ensures uploads of final deliverables to ShareFile, including all exhibits.
  • Lead Client Readiness update meetings held by the STO Team.
  • Collaborates with Manager to create the Best Practice Tracker (BPT) for each new client FOS and generate the exports and worksheets to support the FOS Client Readiness process.
  • Manages the go-live integration process or each new client FOS, including ownership of tracking each Operations Functional Area BPT migration plan status through completion and into operational stead state.
  • Leads weekly meetings with Operational Leaders for each new client to track completion of BPT's and identify any barriers.
  • Reviews BPT reporting of % complete, barriers, accomplishments, and escalations with AVP and VP.
