About the position

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) at Sevita plays a crucial role in providing community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities

• Help individuals grow, learn, and live well.
• Develop meaningful relationships with the individuals served.
• Support participants with developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Assist individuals with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
• Provide support for individuals with behavioral challenges and complex needs.
• Take initiative to help participants engage in community activities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to adapt and multi-task effectively.
• Teamwork and time-management skills.
