A DSP mentors, teaches, and helps people with developmental disabilities. It's a job where every day is different and flexibility and caring are key. DSPs assist people with developmental disabilities to learn new skills, increase their independence and explore their community. You will be part of a team that encourages and assists people in their daily life; that might mean taking someone shopping or a doctor, helping them prepare food or helping them with housework.
