Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is required; further education in a related field is preferred.
Experience as a Direct Support Professional or in a similar role is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and their families.
Understanding of applicable health and safety regulations.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for client outings.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred or must be obtained shortly after being hired.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
Implement and follow individualized support plans to help clients achieve their personal goals.
Encourage social interactions and community participation to enhance overall well-being.
Document client progress and maintain accurate records of services provided.
Create and maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
Collaborate with the care team to ensure a holistic approach to client support.
