About the position
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) role at Royal Community Support involves working directly with individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities
- Support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their private homes and community settings.
- Assist individuals in engaging with their community and participating in activities.
- Provide person-centered support and maintain a positive attitude while working with clients.
- Help set structure and routines for individuals to follow during community outings.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record are necessary.
- Must have a car for transportation.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Authorized to legally work in the United States.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Ability to maintain a positive and open-minded attitude.
