About the position

The Direct Support Professional II role at Redwood Family Care Network involves assisting adults with developmental disabilities in their daily lives, ensuring their dietary, hygiene, grooming, and dressing needs are met. This position is crucial in providing person-centered services and supports, contributing to a positive and enriching environment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist adults with developmental disabilities in their daily lives.
• Outline and prepare daily routines for clients as per their Individual Program Plan.
• Assist clients with bathroom needs and change undergarments/clothing if necessary.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
• Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility if necessary.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification required.
• Must have Direct Support Professional (DSP) 1 & 2 certifications.
• RBT certification must be completed within 6-12 months of hire.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or mental illnesses preferred.
• Valid in-state driver's license required, must be over 21, and have a clean driving record with no more than 2 points in the last 3 years.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with individuals with Autism or challenging behaviors preferred.
