About the position

The Direct Care Staff position at Telecare Corporation involves providing support and case management for individuals with developmental disabilities and co-occurring disorders. Under the supervision of the Team Leader, staff assist clients in living as independently as possible within their community. This role is crucial in delivering compassionate care and support to enhance the quality of life for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Assist clients in achieving independence in their chosen community.
  • Drive clients to appointments and group activities using a company vehicle.
  • Complete required training and obtain necessary certifications within specified timeframes.
  • Participate in person-centered planning and positive behavior support.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Six months of prior experience providing direct care to persons with developmental disabilities.
  • Valid driver's license and personal vehicle insurance.
  • Willingness to complete Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within 12 months of employment.
  • Completion of Direct Support Professional (DSP) competency-based training within one year of employment.
