About the position

The Direct Care Provider role at Cretsinger Care Homes involves providing essential care and support to residents with varying physical and emotional needs. The position focuses on monitoring and supervising residents, delivering personal care, and ensuring a safe and engaging environment. The role requires physical ability to assist clients and emphasizes the importance of professional behavior, communication, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise residents at all times.
• Provide services needed to clients as specified in their Person Centered Plans, Assessment Plans, and/or behavior support plans.
• Provide personal care as needed, including diapering, bathing, brushing teeth/hair, and feeding.
• Wash laundry assigned to your shift and as needed.
• Prepare and serve meals according to posted menu.
• Wash dishes and clean kitchen/dining areas after meals.
• Dispense medications using med passing procedure and ensure residents take their pills.
• Carry out all cleaning required by your shift, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
• Conduct activities with residents such as crafts, games, and birthday celebrations.
• Maintain excellent hygiene at all times and complete necessary documentation related to your shift.

Requirements

• No prior training or experience is needed; all training provided and paid.
• Ability to lift and transfer clients with or without assistive devices.
• Capability to perform cooking and cleaning requirements.
• Ability to meet the emotional needs of each client and work in a team environment.
• Strong communication, prioritizing, and organizational skills.
• Excellent relationship skills and superior customer service skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Lived experience with behavioral health issues is desired.
