As a Direct Care Professional (DCP), you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. You will be part of an interactive team that includes nursing, education, therapists, psychiatrists and you! You will have the ability to influence our kid's treatment plans and the opportunity to teach at-risk youth valuable life skills.

Responsibilities

  • Actively assist our individuals with their individualized plans for daily living and ensure our individuals are safe, healthy, and living in a clean environment.
  • Assist with the planning, implementation, and documentation of programs designed to meet the social, emotional, physical, and personal needs.
  • Plan and participate in community outings, and schedule/transport our individuals to doctor's appointments, shopping trips, and day programs.
  • Be a mentor to other staff and conduct observations and provide feedback for required trainings.
  • Work with individuals who may exhibit challenging and/or aggressive behaviors (paid training upon hire).
  • Provide hygiene care (bathing, showering, toileting, etc.)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in the areas of psychology, sociology, social work, education or other related field is required or 12 years of relevant Human Service experience.
  • Driver's license is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience preferred (not required) working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional and behavioral disorders, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders.
