About the position
The Direct Banking Universal Specialist/Chat at Capital City Bank is primarily responsible for providing exceptional client service through various communication channels, including phone, chat, and email. This role emphasizes building strong client relationships by offering relevant banking products and services while ensuring client satisfaction and retention. Associates are expected to be cross-trained in multiple positions and maintain a high level of knowledge about the bank's offerings to maximize client engagement and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Provide clients with information about bank products and services via phone, chat, and email.
- Back up in all areas as needed.
- Originate credit card applications via incoming calls.
- Cross-sell relevant products and services and refer clients to other departments as appropriate.
- Attend necessary sales and product training sessions.
- Assist in other areas of the department during peak times when needed.
- Provide additional support to manager and department colleagues.
- Complete all assigned/required bank training within established timelines.
Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience may substitute for education requirement.
- Good written communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of bank policies and procedures.
- Ability to apply initiative and work with little supervision.
- Ability to prioritize work and multi-task.
- Ability to communicate effectively and interact positively with all clients and fellow associates.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and a wide range of procedures requiring some judgment.
Nice-to-haves
- One year of banking or client service experience preferred.
- Successful completion of in-house training program or other approved training program.
