About the position

The Direct Banking Universal Specialist/Chat at Capital City Bank is responsible for providing exceptional client service through various communication channels, including phone, chat, and email. This role emphasizes building strong client relationships by offering relevant banking products and services while ensuring client satisfaction and retention. Associates will be cross-trained in multiple positions and are expected to maintain high-quality standards in their service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clients with information about bank products and services via phone, chat, and email.
  • Cross-sell relevant products and services and refer clients to other departments as appropriate.
  • Originate credit card applications via incoming calls.
  • Attend necessary sales and product training sessions.
  • Assist in other areas of the department during peak times, when needed.
  • Complete all assigned/required bank training within established timelines.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Good written communication skills.
  • Ability to apply initiative and work with little supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize work and multi-task.
  • Extensive knowledge of bank policies and procedures.

Nice-to-haves

  • One year of banking or client service experience.
  • Successful completion of in-house training program or other approved training program.
