About the position

The In Suite Dining Attendant at Carillon Miami Wellness Resort is responsible for delivering exceptional luxury dining experiences to guests. This role involves taking orders, preparing and delivering food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction through attentive service and upselling techniques. The ideal candidate will have a passion for excellence in service and a warm demeanor, contributing to the resort's commitment to impeccable standards.

Responsibilities

  • Enters order on POS, prepares, delivers and services orders.
  • Maintains knowledge of all food, beverage and hotel products and services.
  • Maintains an accurate and timely record of each order.
  • Responds promptly and courteously to any requests when delivering the order.
  • Performs upselling techniques during the order taking process.
  • Performs service recoveries as required to ensure complete guest satisfaction and updates manager on follow ups.
  • Professionally presents the final bill and secures final payment.
  • Performs tray and cart runs on time and as business levels demand.
  • Responsible for set-up, delivery and presentation of any food and beverage amenities.
  • Sets up function spaces with appropriate tools such as clipboards, note pads, pens, and water.
  • Warmly greets all guests upon arrival to guest rooms, practicing guest recognition by using their names.
  • Consults with management on any food pick-up difficulties.
  • Completes all side work duties as assigned.
  • Maintains clean service areas and elevator.
  • Minimizes breakage by carefully bussing trays down from rooms.
  • Adheres to responsible alcohol service guidelines.
  • Ready and willing to assist coordinators/operators when needed to answer phones and take food and beverage orders from guests.
  • Supports set up of specialty events and meetings, ensuring all special requests have been satisfied.
  • Understands and studies Carillon nutrition philosophy, food and beverage offerings and ingredients to enhance the guest experience.
  • Adheres to Carillon & luxury partnership standards for guest service.
  • Refers guest problems or complaints to manager according to Carillon problem resolution policy.
  • Reports and documents any observed or known safety hazards to management immediately.
  • Performs other job-related duties as directed.

Requirements

  • Previous Room Service experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of upscale dining room and service procedures and functions.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and diction.
  • Capable of serving and pouring champagne and wine.
  • Ability to gracefully carry trays balanced on one arm.
  • Responsible for cash transactions.
  • Food handlers certified.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Personable, cheerful demeanor and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Pride in luxury standards of food service and guest-service oriented.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in upselling is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
