Responsibilities

• Serve meals to elders and guests
• Take orders for meals
• Clean tables after meals
• Prepare and serve meals in compliance with dietary standards
• Clean the kitchen and wash dishes
• Return food to proper storage

Requirements

• Must hold a current food handling card as required by the state
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions
• Ability to remain calm under stressful conditions and make decisions
• Must be able to work full or part time on a regular schedule, and on-call as needed
• Effective communication skills with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the general public
• Must meet all health requirements, including TB
• Ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must pass a criminal background check
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
