About the position

The Digital Skills Facilitator at Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit is responsible for coordinating digital skills service delivery to Skill Building trainees. The role focuses on developing skills that enable trainees to achieve integrated community employment, particularly for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. The facilitator will work under the supervision of the Digital Skills Supervisor and is expected to motivate and support trainees in a culturally sensitive manner.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate digital skills service delivery to Skill Building trainees.
• Develop skills to achieve integrated community employment for trainees.
• Plan and develop workflow with minimal supervision.
• Address negative behavioral situations and resolve conflicts with diverse populations.
• Motivate others toward achieving their goals.

Requirements

• Experience working with persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities and/or disadvantages.
• Experience in computer-based learning and digital skills education.
• Knowledge of special populations and educational upgrading.
• Documented skills in written and verbal communication, group dynamics, advocacy, human relations, and time management.
