About the position

The Digital Media Buyer/Planner role at True Media LLC is designed for individuals with experience in digital media planning and buying who are looking to advance their careers. This position involves the tactical planning, purchasing, execution, and delivery of digital media strategies as part of approved media plans. The role requires collaboration with media vendors and internal teams to develop effective media strategies and ensure the successful execution of campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in digital media planning and buying discussions for assigned clients.
  • Develop and execute tactical media plans across relevant digital channels.
  • Collaborate with Activation Strategy Supervisor and AMD to integrate solutions into media plans.
  • Issue RFI and RFP efforts with existing and new vendors.
  • Understand and apply measurement strategies for tactical media evaluation and campaign setup.
  • Research and compile data to identify effective media tactics.
  • Negotiate competitive media rates and secure added value for clients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with media vendors and seek innovative opportunities.
  • Serve as an expert on True Media tools and processes, training and mentoring others.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in media planning and/or buying.
  • Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of media fundamentals, including media math and analytics.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team leads.
  • Proficient in analyzing campaign metrics and providing recommendations.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills to secure competitive media rates.
  • Must pass Google Analytics Individual Qualification and Google Ads certifications within 6 months.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working directly with media vendors in social media, programmatic display, and video.
  • Familiarity with in-platform media buying tools.
  • Experience in developing agency Point of Views (POVs) on media channels.
