About the position

The Digital Marketing Specialist - SEO is responsible for supporting the search engine optimization (SEO) strategy for ChenMed’s public-facing brands by the optimization of web assets, online profiles, web lead magnets, salesforce campaign configuration, website optimization reports, and digital campaign activation. This also includes testing, analyzing, and making changes to the website so it is optimized for search engines. The incumbent supports the organic promotion of ChenMed brands as a leader in primary care for seniors by driving key company initiatives, as well as managing the integrity of digital assets across multiple ChenMed digital properties, ultimately achieving the goal of having digital assets rank higher in the results on major search engines. The specialist will immerse themselves in the healthcare industry, as well as digital and inbound marketing strategies. Additionally, the incumbent will stay abreast of issues, trends, and competitor strategies to identify opportunities for ChenMed brands.

Responsibilities

  • Collaboratively executes the digital marketing strategy with a focus on attracting visitors to the website and online profiles/listings.
  • Collaboratively optimizes webpages and media for paid and organic campaigns.
  • Continually performs keyword discovery, expansion, and optimization across digital properties.
  • Partners with Content Marketing Manager and Digital Director to search for opportunities to optimize website architecture, content, linking and other factors in the interest of improving SEO positions for target keywords.
  • Partners with web manager to ensure newly developed code meets SEO best practices.
  • Researches and analyzes competitors to benchmark and monitor progress of share of voice.
  • Uses on- and off-page SEO best practices to generate traffic to websites and listing, including but not limited to: backlinking strategies, metadata refinement and content recommendations.
  • Manages production of deliverables, which includes either writing, designing, or producing deliverables individually or overseeing projects with marketing or strategic partners.
  • Maintains a calendar of digital marketing production projects, keeping a schedule and communicating changes upstream to management and downstream to clients and Senior, Digital Marketing manager.
  • Collaboratively reviews, contributes, and owns digital marketing strategies post-handoff from ChenMed digital strategists and digital marketing leadership.
  • Collaboratively manage campaign tagging (UTMs) for digital campaigns in project management board.
  • Collaboratively builds/activates campaigns in Salesforce.com CRM.
  • Reviews digital assets to ensure alignment with ChenMed’s branding, and web compliance standards.
  • Tests email and web designs across deliverability tools ensure content is displayed on devices accurately.
  • Performs websites audits, ensuring accuracy of content being published on public facing websites.
  • Pulls and maintains month to month SEO web reports to share with Senior Digital Marketing Manager, and digital leadership.
  • Collaboratively submits requests with IT and tests digital campaign integrations prior to campaign deployment.
  • Attends digital marketing webinars and trainings to learn to new strategies and trade-based tools.
  • Attends vendor project steering meetings for campaign updates.
  • Supports other members of the digital team with various tasks, which may include publishing content, troubleshooting digital tools, and providing access to digital pages.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in marketing, communication or related field OR additional experience above the minimum may be considered in lieu of the required education on a year-for-year basis.
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in digital marketing or related marketing field required, including SEO project management experience.
  • Working knowledge of CMS platforms such as Drupal, WordPress or similar.
  • Web analytics software such as Google Analytics or similar.
  • SEO monitoring platforms such as Conductor, Ahrefs, SEMrush.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of CRM software such as SalesForce.
  • Design editing tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva.
  • Healthcare communication/marketing experience.
