About the position

The Digital Marketing Coordinator at Taylor University is responsible for enhancing the university's online presence through effective content management, site optimization, and marketing initiatives. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure that marketing strategies align with the university's mission and goals, while also managing the technical aspects of the website and ensuring the quality of web content.

Responsibilities

  • Review and edit web content for accuracy and relevance.
  • Monitor and manage website link integrity through broken link reports.
  • Update existing website content, including text, images, and multimedia elements.
  • Write news stories, blog posts, and other engaging web content.
  • Implement and manage a custom site search feature for improved user navigation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather insights for content and online strategy improvements.
  • Promote web content across social media platforms in collaboration with the social media team.
  • Track and report on the performance of content and marketing initiatives for optimization.
  • Optimize webpages and digital assets for speed and accessibility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in digital marketing, content management, or web development.
  • Ability to evaluate and edit content, structure, and format of written material.
  • Strong communication skills including writing, editing, and project updates.
  • Excellent proofing and grammar skills; detail-oriented with error identification capabilities.
  • Familiarity with SEO, content management systems (CMS), HTML, and web analytics tools.
  • Analytical skills and familiarity with Google Analytics (GA4).
  • Strong self-initiative and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and execute projects with strong organizational skills.
  • Solid understanding of marketing principles and tactics.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with SEO best practices.
