About the position
The Digital Enterprise IT/Technical Project Manager will lead the implementation of data-centered projects aimed at enhancing the AEDC ground test data infrastructure and business systems. This role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to leverage data for decision-making and support the Digital Enterprise initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead teams focused on projects in the Digital Enterprise branch.
- Provide program/project management leadership for complex multidisciplinary projects.
- Represent the company to clients, customers, and users.
- Evaluate opportunities for facility capability upgrades using standard engineering methods.
- Manage complex projects, tracking scope, resource utilization, schedules, and accomplishments.
- Facilitate the collection of project requirements and communicate them to project teams.
- Provide project updates to management and local Air Force Director as needed.
- Deliver a successful portfolio of projects on time and within budget.
- Perform cost and performance measurement analysis against planned scope.
- Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and regulations.
- Prepare and execute Project Plans with cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
- Support common work processes within assigned functions across the TOS contract.
- Assist other project managers in managing large, multidisciplinary projects.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in a relevant technical field (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Engineering, IT) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive and relevant experience in an engineering or related technical field, or 12 years in lieu of a degree.
- Current U.S. Citizenship required.
- Current SECRET Security Clearance.
Nice-to-haves
- Degree in a computer science discipline or engineering from an accredited university.
- Basic knowledge of engineering, procurement, or project-related activities.
- Ability to organize and monitor team efforts effectively.
- Experience with development lifecycle methodologies such as Agile DevSecOps.
- Demonstrated experience in a data engineering role.
- Experience with data architectures and machine learning techniques.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
