About the position
The Digital Engineer (MBSE) role involves supporting a Department of Defense (DoD) contract by utilizing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies. The position focuses on creating and maintaining system models, integrating and analyzing data, verifying requirements, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure compliance and operational alignment. Continuous improvement and engagement in learning are also key aspects of this role.
Responsibilities
- Participate in team stand-up meetings to discuss project updates and set priorities.
- Create and maintain system models in modeling environments.
- Integrate and analyze data from various sources to inform design decisions.
- Review and validate system requirements within the models.
- Document modeling processes, decisions, and outcomes.
- Facilitate meetings with project stakeholders to gather feedback.
- Engage in ongoing learning to stay updated with MBSE methodologies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working in a professional environment.
- Experience using engineering to inform analysis of capability alternatives and concepts.
- Knowledge of systems engineering tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw, SparxEA, and Doors.
- Knowledge of systems engineering processes, requirements engineering, CONOPS development, interface design, system integration, and verification and testing.
- Ability to integrate with a multi-functional team for cross-disciplinary efforts.
- Ability to learn practical application of SysML and UAF modeling languages.
- Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience developing operational views, technical standards views, and system and services views for architectures using DoDAF and UAF standards.
- Master's degree in Systems Engineering (preferred).
- ASEP or CSEP INCOSE Certification (preferred).
- OSCMP Certification (preferred).
