Responsibilities
- Assess nutritional needs of patients and develop appropriate care plans.
- Implement and evaluate nutritional care interventions based on patient assessments.
- Document medical nutrition treatment plans in patients' medical records accurately.
- Conduct nutrition screenings and prioritize care for patients needing assistance.
- Participate in multidisciplinary care plan rounds and collaborate with healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate records of patient contacts and nutritional progress notes.
- Plan and supervise activities related to therapeutic diet programs and patient education.
- Review and develop diet manuals and nutrition education materials.
- Apply current nutritional research to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
- Degree in Human Nutrition or a related area required.
- One year of experience in healthcare nutrition management required.
- Registered Dietitian with the American Dietetic Association required.
- Licensure with the State of Florida, Department of Professional Regulation, Board of Medicine required.
