Requirements

Must be able to speak, read, and write English
SD County Food Handler Card; or Food Safety Certificate, or able to pass Food Handlers test given by certified manager or designee

Food Service experience
Food Service experience in a Healthcare setting

Responsibilities

Provide administrative and clerical support for Food and Nutrition Services.
Process diet orders.
Assist patients with menu selections.
Distinguish between food and medication allergies.
Maintain current diet orders and menus to ensure compliance to the physician diet order.
Check tray line for patient tray accuracy.
Function effectively in a call center environment.
Serve as a liaison between Nursing and Food and Nutrition Services departments handling patient complaints, food issues and basic questions about meals/diets.
