About the position

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team in Orlando, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and diagnostics, responsible for diagnosing and repairing various types of diesel engines, including those found in tractor-trailers and farm machinery. The Diesel Technician will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including air brake systems and shocks struts.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and determine the necessary repairs for heavy equipment and vehicles.
• Conduct inspections on tractor-trailer units to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Operate heavy machinery as needed to facilitate repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Align equipment as required to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
• Collaborate with team members to improve repair processes and enhance service quality.

Requirements

• Proven experience in diesel engine repair, with a solid understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, particularly Caterpillar machinery.
• Strong troubleshooting skills related to diesel engines and associated systems.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to equipment repair and maintenance is essential.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with farm machinery is a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
