About The Position

The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for performing preventative maintenance on diesel tractors, troubleshooting and repairing equipment problems, and maintaining and repairing all equipment including engine, starting and charging, electrical, body, wheels, brakes, suspension, and interior. This role also involves answering driver requests for assistance with equipment failure while on the road and ensuring a safe work environment by following company procedures. The position requires honesty and integrity in performing all job duties.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy duty tractor/ trailer repair.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work multiple shifts and on call as needed.
• Have own tools

Nice To Haves

• State inspection certification a plus.
• CDL Preferred.
• Certification in the use of refrigerants and recycling equipment a big plus.
• Some mechanics must have the ability to drive a repair vehicle off the premises to perform emergency repairs on the road.

Responsibilities
