About the position

Interstate Power Systems is seeking experienced or journeyman level Diesel Mechanics/Technicians for their Butler, Wisconsin location. The role involves repairing and maintaining diesel engines and components, with a focus on customer satisfaction and efficient diagnostics. Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain diesel engines and diesel components used in various vehicles and diesel equipment.
• Accurately diagnose complex diesel engine conditions and perform necessary repairs.
• Communicate effectively with peers, foreman, and service team regarding repairs.
• Ensure quality control of work performed to maximize customer satisfaction.
• Keep paperwork updated and submitted upon completion of tasks.
• Meet requirements for certifications.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's license (Bonus compensation for CDL holders).
• Good work ethic, positive attitude, and reliability.
• Excellent understanding of Detroit Diesel engines through the current GHG17 product.
• Experience with diesel engine platforms such as Cummins, CAT, & International is a plus.
• Mechanical skills in hydraulics, brakes & suspension, manual transmissions, drive train, and automatic transmissions are desired but not essential.
• Physically able to lift and work with no restrictions.
