About The Position
This is a second shift position responsible for setting up and changing dies in heavy-duty power presses according to production schedule changes. The role involves transporting dies, performing press operator duties when needed, installing and aligning dies, and adjusting ram strokes. The technician will also verify part quality against standards, produce sample parts for inspection, perform minor maintenance, and adhere to all safety regulations.
Requirements
- 0-5 Years of experience in a MFG /Press environment
Responsibilities
- Sets up and changes dies in heavy duty power presses according to changes in production schedule.
- Transport dies to and from die storage, die repair, and individual presses.
- Maintain the responsibilities and essential functions of a press operator when needed.
- Install, position, and align dies in press bed.
- Adjust the stroke of ram and punches to specified depth and stroke.
- Utilizing standard parameters adheres to and verifies part acceptance standards and verifies part quality.
- Start the machine to produce sample parts for inspection.
- Performs small maintenance repairs as needed.
- Adheres to all safety regulations.
- Performs other essential functions as assigned.
