About the position

As the Global Supply Planning Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Dickies business processes in Global Supply as well as analytics and insights on key Global Supply Chain initiatives. The primary responsibility of the Manager, Global Supply Planning is to lead all global supply planning activities from pre-season to in-season. This includes buy calendar alignment, pre/in-season capacity planning, greige fabric commitments, global minimum order quantities, buy readiness, surcharges, liabilities, regional order/capacity prioritization, along with other crucial global supply activities to deliver on time and cost optimized supply. Cross functional partnerships will be key to the success of this role working alongside regional planning, demand planning, sourcing and product development. This Manager will work cross functionally to highlight pre-season global capacity constraints and on-time performance risk, focusing on both near and long-term. An additional focus will be on the buy process milestones and efficient execution of the min review process. A key responsibility is the creation and management of the seasonal buy calendars, while balancing lead-times, holidays, and market needs.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Dickies Global Supply Planning activities, taking ownership of how we prioritize regional capacity and regional inventory tradeoffs.
  • Manage and coordinate the global purchasing process to ensure optimized regional buys are in line with sourcing and vendor requirements.
  • Develop and manage seasonal milestones related to buy calendar dates, buy readiness, MOQs, etc.
  • Manage weekly Buy Calendar updates based on change requests submitted by sourcing/regions and communicate via detailed notes within calendar master file.
  • Identify on-time performance risks pre-season and work to highlight relevant risks and opportunities to appropriate global teams.
  • Coordinate global forecast consolidation, analysis, and relevant communications to the business.
  • Develop insightful, monthly analytics related to key dates – drops, buy-ups, late adds, surcharges, etc.
  • Lead key projects to evolve supply chain capabilities.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as required.
  • Mentor, develop, and train planners to drive better business understanding and increased efficiencies.
  • Day to day management of global supply planning team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related professional experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant field (preferred concentration in Supply Chain, Engineering, Mathematics, or Business).
  • Experience in Apparel and/or Footwear industry preferred.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suites including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of supply chain processes, with experience in supply planning.
  • Analytical with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experienced in identifying and leading projects with varying scopes within Supply Chain and with key internal partners.
  • Strong communication skills that show ability to collaborate and drive results.
  • Process oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Willing to work in a global role and accommodate for different regional time zones.
  • Proven management experience including leading, coaching, mentoring and building an effective team.
  • SAP, Tableau, and other Supply Chain & Reporting Systems experience a plus.
