About the position

The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist II is responsible for providing Diagnostic Imaging services, including plain imaging and fluoroscopy, as well as CT services or functioning as a sterile scrub tech in Interventional Imaging. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating imaging services while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The technologist operates imaging equipment, processes images, prepares patient rooms, and maintains equipment and supplies, all while collaborating with a transdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and document pertinent data about the patient and procedure to be performed.
  • Implement all procedures in a cost-effective manner, demonstrating competency and proficiency in radiology practice.
  • Verify patient identification prior to beginning any procedure and document the procedure and patient response timely.
  • Evaluate images for positioning, appropriate anatomy, and overall image quality; identify and document exceptions to the expected outcome.
  • Document information about the procedure, patient care during the procedure, and the final results of the procedure.
  • Plan and organize work for assigned shift to properly utilize time and resources, ensuring adequate supplies for patient care.
  • Maintain and clean equipment, reporting maintenance and repair needs timely.

Requirements

  • Two years of acute or critical care experience with one year of experience in CT or as an Interventional Imaging sterile scrub tech.
  • Current registration and certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology (R).
  • State licensure in radiology and BLS certification are required.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior CR/DR, PACS and RIS experience is preferred.
  • CT registry/certification is preferred.
