About the position

The Development Coordinator is a vital member of the National Inventors Hall of Fame (NIHF) Fundraising team, tasked with leading donor recognition fulfillment and managing the implementation of donor benefits. This role is essential in ensuring that all national, regional, and local donors are acknowledged appropriately across various NIHF programs. The Development Coordinator will oversee the creation and distribution of donor recognition materials, which include posters, marketing packets, T-shirts, brochures, flyers, e-newsletters, e-blasts, social media content, and website updates. In collaboration with the Marketing, Operations, Warehouse, and Creative teams, the Development Coordinator will manage timelines for donor benefits and ensure that all communications reflect the contributions of donors. This includes determining donor eligibility for benefits and securing necessary approvals for materials. The coordinator will also be responsible for producing donor lists for all print, social, and digital communications, managing the annual site visit process for the Fundraising team, and preparing the annual report. Additionally, the role involves overseeing the donor gift acknowledgment process and providing support for scholarship management, along with other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will be a self-directed critical thinker with a performance-oriented mindset, capable of working effectively under pressure and adapting to changing priorities while meeting deadlines. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial, as well as proven research and analytical capabilities. Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary, along with proficiency in MS Office and project management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure national, regional, and local donors are recognized on all applicable donor benefits materials across all NIHF programs.
  • Manage donor benefits timelines in collaboration with the Marketing, Operations, Warehouse, and Creative teams.
  • Work with the Marketing and Creative teams to incorporate donors in all applicable print, online, and electronic communications.
  • Determine donor eligibility and secure fundraiser approval for benefits materials.
  • Produce donor lists for all print, social, and digital communications.
  • Manage the Fundraising team's annual site visit process and annual report preparation.
  • Manage the donor gift acknowledgment process.
  • Provide support for scholarship management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with Salesforce or other donor-related databases is a plus.
  • Proven proficiency with MS Office.
  • Project management experience.
